Tennessee native Binx Walton shines in an only girl editorial for T Magazine's Spring/Summer 2014 issue under the watchful eye of photographer Mario Sorrenti. Seventeen year old Binx displays stunning versatility for "A Moment of Transparency" bearing the slightest hint of flesh in sheer fabrics, open weaves, and laser print cutout designs from the Spring/Summer 2014 collections. Stylist Joe McKenna taps into Binx's rad androgynous appeal kitted out in designs by Céline, Alexander McQueen, Chloé, Giorgio Armani, Chanel, and Azzedine Alaia. Represented by Next Model Management, Binx charmed all in her midst during the Spring/Summer 2014 show season with her larger than life personality, elegant tough chic, and off-the-runway antics. Logging 27 Spring/Summer 2014 show bookings including Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, Giles, Prada, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton, Binx has emerged as a long distance contender via a Spring/Summer 2014 campaign berth for Céline lensed by Juergen Teller and editorial appearances for Love Magazine captured by Patrick Demarchelier and Tim Walker. Watch for Binx's dream run to continue throughout the Fall/Winter 2014 collections following a deluge of blue chip bookings at the New York collections including Proenza Schouler, Jason Wu, Victoria Beckham, Prabal Gurung, Diane Von Furstenberg, Hugo Boss, and Narciso Rodriguez.

Chinese top model Fei Fei Sun continues to rise through industry ranks scoring her first only girl American Vogue editorial for the fashion bible's March 2014 issue. Legendary photographer Peter Lindbergh immortalises Fei Fei as the femme fatale for the suspenseful editorial entitled "The Feminine Mystique." Fei Fei's delicate frame and fine bone structure prove to be the perfect accompaniment to stylist Tonne Goodman's 1950s suburbia inspired sultry sophisticated looks punctuated by the season's dresses and skirts with hemlines grazing below the knee. Fei Fei is a picture of pure elegance as she makes chase with a male accomplice and furry four-legged friend decked out in creations by Donna Karan, Chanel, Burberry Prorsum, Proenza Schouler, and Balmain. Discovered in 2008 via the Elite Model Look competition, Fei Fei took out the winning title and has since become a regular fixture on the international runway circuit and in the pages of American Vogue, W, i-D Magazine, and Chinese Vogue. Fei Fei's intoxicating beauty has fronted campaigns for cK One cosmetics, Giorgio Armani Beauty, Prada, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, DSquared2, Diesel, Lane Crawford, and DKNY Fragrance. In January 2013, Fei Fei became the first model of Asian descent to grace the cover of Vogue Italia appearing in a stunning close-cropped head shot lensed by Steven Meisel. During the launch of the issue Vogue Italia's Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani gushed enthusiastically, "Fei Fei embodies a timeless idea of an extremely chic woman. In this world beauty is king and it brings people together with no racial limits."

Coming Out of the Dark - Diana Silvers

Following two weeks spent navigating mountains of snow, slush, and black ice while in New York for the Fall/Winter 2014 collections, I could not wait to hightail it back to my home base in Copenhagen. On arrival in Denmark, I was greeted by a clear blue sky day, the warm friendly smiles of locals, and this gorgeous editorial shot be Kai Z. Feng for the March 2014 edition of British Elle. Newcomers Diana Silvers, Jaydah Robinett, and male model Andrew Hussey sport free flowing hair, neon face paint, and multi-coloured apparel from the Spring/Summer 2014 collections of Prada, Etro, Chanel, Valentino, and Chanel styled by Anne-Marie Curtis for the aptly titled "Sundance" editorial. Kai Z. Feng hones in on the contrasting beauty of Silvers and Robinett as they shoot the breeze with a cast of long haired models and youths. IMA is particularly enamoured by the intensely penetrating gaze and dark brooding beauty of Wilhemina model Diana Silvers who bears a striking resemblance to current runway renegade Elodia Prieto. Hailing from the Pacific Palisades in California, Silvers stands at 178 cm with hazel eyes, dark brown tresses, and bee stung lips. Silvers' British Elle editorial appears like a bolt out of the blue and will surely place the newcomer on the radar of industry pundits in the year ahead.

Femme Fatale - Amanda Wellsh

Paris Vogue unleashes a spectacular visual tour de force featuring three of modelling's most enigmatic faces for its March 2014 issue. In a nod to the past, present, and future, supermodel Lara Stone, current Gucci goddess Amanda Wellsh, and rising star Anna Ewers are immortalised by photographic duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for "Femme Fatale". Editor-in-Chief Emmanuelle Alt takes charge with the trio decked out in bold red and jet black ensembles from the Spring/Summer 2014 collections of Saint Laurent, Versace, Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, and Jean Paul Gaultier. The editorial is a celebration of womanhood with the long anticipated return of thirty year old Dutch bombshell Lara Stone to Paris Vogue's pages following the birth of her son. Also making a comeback is twenty-four year old Brazilian Amanda Wellsh who made her first forays into modelling at the age of fourteen. Wellsh took time out from modelling for motherhood before returning to the runway with the backing of modelling powerhouse IMG Models at the Spring/Summer 2014 collections. Currently the face of Gucci's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign, Wellsh's recent editorial appearances in the Brasilian and French editions of Vogue mark the beginnings a stellar Fall/Winter 2014 assault. Freiburg native twenty year old Anna Ewers bears an uncanny resemblance to Germany's original supermodel export Claudia Schiffer. Ewers is well on her way to mapping out her own stunning career trajectory appearing in thirty-seven shows at the Spring/Summer 2014 collections followed by campaigns for Valentino, Prada, Alexander Wang, and Versace Eyewear.

Exclusive Interview - Julia Bergshoeff

The Spring/Summer 2014 collections were marked by the arrival of a select group of newcomers whose beauty, charisma, and personalities hark back to the halcyon days when models commanded the fashion industry and the public's attention and imagination. Among the most promising new faces to emerge was sixteen year old Julia Bergshoeff whose ultra-exclusive appearances at Prada and Miu Miu had industry pundits marking her as the one of the season's most wanted. With her 180 cm willowy frame, delicate fine features, green golden flecked eyes, and irresistible smattering of freckles, Berghoeff has drawn comparisons to supermodels Kate Moss, Daria Werbowry, and Gisele Bundchen. Lofty praise for the Dutch newcomer who was discovered less than a year ago and has already shared lens time with Steven Meisel shooting Prada's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign.

Currently undertaking her final year of high school, Bergshoeff's demanding school schedule has been skilfully navigated by her mother agency Ulla Models in Holland and DNA Model Management in New York via a select handful of ultra blue chip assignments. Editorial appearances for British Vogue and the Dutch editions of Elle and Vogue, in addition to a Proenza Schouler exclusive at the current Fall/Winter 2014 collections have provided a tantalising preview of Bergshoeff's stunning potential. Bergshoeff's incredible versatility on film which shifts seamlessly from fresh-faced ingenue to sophisticated debutante, and her intrinsic understanding of the unique relationship between subject and the camera's lens may be attributed to her love of photography as accounted in passionate detail via her personal Instagram page. On the eve of the European collections, Bergshoeff took timeout with IMA to chat about her prodigious rise to modelling's elite ranks, those flattering supermodel comparisons, and the challenges of juggling school with her burgeoning resumé of lucrative modelling assignments.

Inoubliable Model Army (IMA) - Hi Julia, thank you for chatting with IMA. You've been on IMA's radar since your show stealing appearance at Prada's Resort Spring/Summer 2014 show. What was your initial reaction to your debut at Prada and were your surprised by the amount of interest generated from that singular turn on the runway?
Julia Bergshoeff (JB): Thank you! At first I was very surprised but I felt very honoured to be able to work with such great people so fast after being scouted. The whole experience was very new and exciting to me.

IMA: Would you mind sharing your backstory with IMA?
JB: I'm 16 years old and live in a small town in the Netherlands called Papendrecht. I'm in my last year of high school and I'll be sitting my exams in May 2014. My booker from Ulla Models scouted me in April 2013. I did some test shoots and after a few weeks I got confirmed for Prada's Resort Spring/Summer 2014 show. So I had my modelling trip to Milan and that's what really kickstarted my modelling career.

IMA: You're clearly a favourite of casting director Ashley Brokaw who cast you in the Spring/Summer 2014 shows for both Prada and Miu Miu, as well as Prada's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign. What was involved in the casting profess and what was your initial meeting with Ashley Brokaw like?
JB: The first time I met Ashley Brokaw was at the casting for Prada Resort Spring/Summer 2014. I went in being myself. We said hi and she was really nice and sweet to me, after that I had to walk and take a few pictures.

IMA: Your exclusive appearances at Prada and Miu Miu have landed you firmly on the radar of influential casting directors and designers for the Spring/Summer 2014 editorial and campaign season. Did you get a chance to catch your breath before heading to New York to begin the next round of castings and go-sees?
JB: I guess they did. And yes I had enough time to take a rest. I'm in my final year of high school and I can't miss too much of it.

IMA: Dutch models continue to dominate the modelling stage. What unique qualities do you feel are contributing to the incredible modelling talent that continues to emerge from the Netherlands?
JB: 'Act normal - that's crazy enough.' I think that's what makes Dutch girls so special. They will always be themselves.

IMA: Your debut at the Prada Resort Spring/Summer 2014 show alongside newbies Anna Ewers, Malaika Firth, Holly Rose Emery, Marina Nery, Maggie Jablonski, and Binx Walton signalled a shift in the modelling paradigm towards greater diversity on fashion's runways. What are your thoughts on the fashion industry's embrace of diversity during the Spring/Summer 2014 collections?
JB: I think it's a great thing... it makes the show line-up a lot more interesting. It shows the beauty of people from all over the world, not a limited view of beauty.

IMA: Fashion Week is a crazy mix of excitement, exhaustion, and the anticipation of seeing friends made during past show seasons. Who are your closest model buddies and did you find the opportunity to catch up in between the mad rush of castings, round the clock fittings, and shows?
JB: I only did two shows so I didn't get to meet so many girls however the models I know best are Julie Hoomans and Maggie Jablonski. Unfortunately, we didn't get to hang out much after the shows as I had to head right back to school.

IMA: Your mother agency Ulla Models has slowly and strategically introduced you to the international market via a handful of ultra-selective bookings. What do you appreciate most about the management style and philosophy of Ulla Models, and what has been the the most valuable advice that your agent has shared with you so far?
JB: What I really appreciate about my bookers is that they keep in mind that I'm still in school and therefore I can't leave often. But when I do, they book great jobs for me. The best advice my bookers offered me is that I should always stay and be true to myself.

IMA: Model Aficionados have compared your looks to a compelling supermodel mix of Kate Moss, Daria Werbowry, and Gisele Bundchen! How does it feel to be compared to such modelling icons, and which models are you most inspired by?
JB: I was amazed when I heard people were comparing me to these supermodels whom everyone loves, it feels very special. I never thought this would happen to me. I'm most inspired by Doutzen Kroes because she stays so normal and is always a class act.

IMA: One of the big conceptions about the modelling and fashion industries is that it is all glamour and gloss. From your relatively short modelling spell, what have you found most surprising about the fashion world and communities?
JB: How fast things can go! When I was scouted half a year ago, my Dad told me that I would have to go to New York before the end of 2013. I didn't believe him. But when I heard I would be going there last November I was so happy and surprised, it was amazing being in New York for the first time! And the loads of people you meet also really surprised me.

IMA: The modelling industry is a high-pressured adult world in which young individuals are often forced to navigate. What are your views on the New York Sate's recent passing of the new Child Labour Laws which provide protection for models 16 years and under from unsafe, unhealthy, and unlawful working terms and conditions?
JB: I think it's a good change, it definitely helps to prevent exploitation of young girls and boys who work as models. It's good that we can finish school first and then concentrate on modelling more later. There is a bad side as well in that it's harder for young underage models to start working in New York because it's harder to get working permits now. But overall, I think it's a positive move.

IMA: A model's sense of style has become increasingly relevant not only when presenting to clients but also off-duty due to the prevalence of street style photographers and bloggers. How would you describe your fashion aesthetic and which three designers are you currently obsessing over?
JB: I just wear items that I like, most of the time they have to be comfortable but classy. And oh, I love black boots. I'm obsessed with Prada and their amazing designs each season. I also really like Balenciaga, Céline, and Alexander Wang!

IMA: Your Instagram page features some amazing photography. Is photography a keen interest of yours?
JB: Thank you! And yes I do, I'm very interested in photography. I like the way photography allows me to express myself easier. But the challenge of taking the right picture and being happy with it is a great process as well!

IMA: Beauty is only part of a model's overall package with agents encouraging their models to explore and showcase other talents to increase their allure. What are your interests and passions beyond modelling and fashion?
JB: I love being with my family and friends, photography, and cooking.

IMA: What makes you "Inoubliable" (Unforgettable)?
JB: My freckles! :-)

The true measure of a bonafide supermodel in IMA's estimation is the ability to morph into any number of personas depending on the publication and editorial brief. Otherwise known as versatility and a chameleon-like quality, one model who has made these qualities her trademark is the remarkable Karlie Kloss. Paris Vogue showcases Kloss' incredible range via the intrepid lens of David Sims for a series of captivating black and white portraits. Kloss' transformative quality is in full force as she flits in and out of character from stockinged bombshell to demure sophisticate to quirky waif-like ingenue for the Paris Vogue editorial "Affranchie". Twenty-one year old Kloss is an industry veteran having modelled since 2006, gracing high fashion runways with her slinky somnambulant swagger and modern all-American beauty. Represented by modelling powerhouse IMG Model Management, Kloss is currently ranked number 7 on Models.com's list of Top 50 Models. Kloss' recent graduation to Victoria's Secret coterie of Angels hasn't diminished her high fashion gloss with the beauty featuring in the pages of W Magazine, American Vogue, i-D, and the Last Magazine. Kloss continues to attract big name designer love having showcased the designs of Osca de la Renta, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Diane Von Furstenberg, Jason Wu, and Alexander Wang at the Fall/Winter 2014 New York collections.

Exclusive Interview - Betty Adewole

Following years of striving to crack modelling's elite ranks, British model Betty Adewole left no doubt as to her major league status at the Spring/Summer 2014 collections amassing a blue chip show list which included appearances at Prada, Tom Ford, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, Chloé, Stella McCartney, J.W. Anderson, and Kenzo. Modelling since 2009, Adewole's recent success was precipitated by a change of management to IMG Models London, an image overhaul, and a conscious decision to take charge of her modelling career. Adewole's metamorphosis was well-timed arriving on the cusp of a call within the industry to address the on-going poor of representation of minority groups on fashion's runways. Casting directors and designers responded en masse assembling Spring/Summer 2014 show line-ups reflecting a more modern global beauty aesthetic. For Adewole this translated to the first ever Prada exclusive accorded to a model of colour and an avalanche of runway bookings at the Paris Spring/Summer 2014 collections.

Twenty-one year old Adewole cuts a striking figure on the runway with her imposing 180 cm Amazonian frame, her penetrating feline gaze, and stunning mahogany skin tone. Adewole's subtle mix of tomboyish androgyny and smouldering sex appeal lends her a compelling versatility that appeals to a diverse selection of clients. In the aftermath of the Spring/Summer 2014 season, Adewole has continued to build considerable momentum with editorial appearances for British Vogue, i-D Magazine, Wonderland, DSection, CR Fashion Book, and a jaw-dropping campaign gig for Tom Ford Beauty. Adewole also forms part of a unique collective of British modelling talent including Cara Delevingne, Mailaika Firth, Edie Campbell, Sam Rollinson, and Hollie-May Saker whose individual personas, one-of-kind beauty, and cool girl vibes have captured the public's imagination in a way not witnessed since the days of the original Supers. On the eve of the Fall/Winter 2014 collections, Adewole chatted exclusively to IMA about her thrilling Spring/Summer 2014 show season, the impetus for her breakthrough to modelling's major league, and the Tom Ford runway moment which set the fashion world on fire.

Inoubliable Model Army (IMA): Hi Betty, thank you for chatting with IMA. Congratulations on what can only be described as a phenomenal Spring/Summer 2014 show season with blue chip bookings for Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Chloé, Givenchy, and Stella McCartney! Were you in a state of both disbelief and pure joy at the significance of your achievements as the season unfolded?
Betty Adewole (BA): Thank you. Yes, I'd definitely use the words disbelief and joy. I didn't believe I'd fully confirmed any of the shows until I actually walked off the runway. I'm always expectant and optimistic but this really exceeded any expectations I had. I was well over the moon!

IMA: You've been modelling since 2009. Would you mind filling IMA on some of the gaps?
BA: I'm 21 years old and from Hackney born and raised. My origin is Nigerian where both my parents are from. I was initially discovered on Tottenham Court Road while waiting at a bus stop with my mum after an afternoon of shopping.

IMA: You've walked the runway in seasons past for Jean Paul Gaultier, Loewe, Martin Maison Margiela, Ungaro, and Jeremy Scott, however the Spring/Summer 2014 collections truly marked your breakthrough to the very elite level of modelling. What do you feel were the key factors which led to this pivotal moment in your modelling trajectory?
BA: Well, this Summer I fell ill and it really put things into perspective for me. I'd never fully taken myself seriously before and for the first time I really felt like a woman and secure in myself so I decided it was time for a change. A drastic one, so I cut my hair. I think this had a big part to play in it, for me it was like a shedding of skin and I became a more confident and carefree me, I've never had short hair before. This Summer before the shows I decided it was time to take control of my career and be really serious about it.

IMA: Your appearance at Tom Ford in that jaw-dropping figure hugging brown mini-dress literally brought the show to a standstill! How did it feel to be walking down the runway for Tom Ford and did you realise at that stage that this moment was yours for the taking?
BA: I felt like the sexiest woman alive! It was an honour to walk for Tom Ford as he's a genius and the world's most talented, sexiest man. Women request to have clothes made by him, so to be picked to walk for him made me feel extra special. I don't think I've ever felt so sexy and womanly as when I wore that dress, I walked out onto the runway feeling and looking like a million dollars, it was the best feeling ever. The catwalk was my stage and I stepped out onto it for the first time feeling like a star about to perform for her audience. After the show I realised that there is power in beauty.

IMA: You appeared with close buddy Leomie Anderson at Tom Ford alongside ethnic models Grace Bol, Herieth Paul, and Ji Hye Park. Tom Ford has been a staunch supporter of diversity in modelling since his early days at Gucci. Did you get the opportunity to interact with Mr Ford, and do you feel that the Spring/Summer 2014 season's multi-hued runways will continue to gain momentum in seasons to come?
BA: I did get a chance to speak with him and the first thing he said to me was, "You are absolutely stunning". When we were backstage he told all of the models that we're beautiful and strong women. It's nice to work with a designer that genuinely supports and encourages diversity within the industry. This season I saw a lot more diversity on the runways and I do feel like it's the beginning of something great. Being the first black female to walk exclusively for Prada during a great season of diversity on the catwalks was amazing. I think that in order for it to continue, which I hope it does, designers need to care more about the greater good of their brand. As a brand you need to appeal to the consumer and if a consumer doesn't feel that they are being represented they won't believe the brand is appealing to them.

IMA: This is a tough call but what are your fondest memories both on and off the runway from the Spring/Summer 2014 season?
BA: That's a tough one because there's sooo many! My fondest on the runway would have to be Tom Ford and Prada. Tom Ford because I swear I'd never felt sexier in my life than on that runway and Prada because of the huge amount of people, security, and press that were there, it was like being at the event of the year and actually taking part in it. I'd have to say Givenchy as well, Kanye West came to see the show and he's one of my favourite artists. I saw him whilst I was walking and tried hard not to smile, I felt pretty cool just being there.

IMA: Within industry circles you've established a reputation for being an exceptional print model having appeared in editorials for Teen Vogue, Muse, V, Pop, i-D Magazine, and Volt, as well as on the covers of 125, French Revue de Modes, Wonderland, and DSection. Do you enjoy the print component of modelling and do you recall a favourite published image or shoot amongst your extensive body of work?
BA: I love shooting because to me being on a shoot really shows off the artistic side to modelling and modelling as an art form. On set you're working with several artists in different forms; hair stylist, make-up artist, stylist, photographer, and several others. All these artists work together to produce this piece of art and it's my job to translate that through modelling as the finished product. I enjoy working with a team for print to produce something translating everyone's main objective. I love acting so for me being on set really allows me to be pro-active and get into character and to engage in role-play.
My favourite shoot so far would have to be for Teen Vogue because I basically got to wear clothes that I myself had or would purchase, and had to be a tomboy, which I am so it was the most authentic and relaxed I've ever been whilst shooting an editorial.

IMA: You landed the first ever Prada exclusive for a black model this season. What was involved in the casting process for the show with Ashley Brokaw, and do you recall your initial reaction and what you were doing when you found out that you had been confirmed for the show?
BA: It still sounds surreal to me. I first met Ashley Brokaw at the JW Anderson casting and I had been told by my manager that if you get requested to meet her for JW Anderson than there would be interest for the Prada show. I booked JW Anderson then not long after I was put on option for the Prada exclusive. When I got confirmed for the show I was already in Milan waiting as an option, I was just sat in my hotel room watching Italian soap operas when my agency IMG London called me. I answered and all I heard was a mesh of voices (all the agents) shout, "Congratulations you booked Prada!" down the phone and I just went, "Ahhh, oh my God!!!". The feeling was like the build-up before you get on a roller coaster up to the moment when you buckle up and wait for the ride to start before it shoots off. I just exploded with shock and excitement! I was speechless for a good couple of minutes.

IMA: You recently switched representation to modelling powerhouse IMG in London. How has this change altered your perception/understanding of the role of sound management to a model's career trajectory, and what has impressed you most about IMG's management approach?
BA: I switched to IMG only just a few weeks before the Spring/Summer 2014 shows. Switching to IMG has really shown me how much of a factor management plays in a model's career. Your management has to truly believe in you. I now see the relationships between agents and models as more of a business and partnership rather than just model and booker. It's about finding and working together more as a team. What impressed me the most about IMG is that they saw me as a talent and a brand, not just a model. They saw something greater than beyond modelling.

IMA: You undertook theatre studies at the City of Westminster College and have also appeared in the Duran Duran 'Girl Panic' music video. Do you have further acting aspirations and how has your theatre training come in handy on shoots?
BA: I love acting, it's one of my many dreams to star in films one day. Modelling is similar to acting, it's portraying a presence, Having had some theatre training means that it's easier for me to take on a role and embody a character on set. I go through steps and techniques that I would use before I step in front of the camera as I would before stepping on stage to act in a play. Acting has helped me to be able to connect and disconnect with a persona that I may portray in front of the camera in the same way as I would perform as a character on stage.

IMA: Branding plays a key role in ensuring the longevity of models beyond a few seasons. What can we expect to see from Betty Adewole via various social media that models utilise to increase their public profiles?
BA: Music is my first love so you can expect to be getting some of that from me in the near future. That's music that I'm currently feeling and music that I'll be working on myself as I love to sing and rap. I also have my own tumblr - bettyadewole.tumblr.com where I share photos, random thoughts that pop into my head, and anything that I may be getting up to. It's my diary to the world. You can count on me tweeting random gibberish too on twitter because I'm just weird like that and sometimes just want people to hear my weirdness ha!

IMA: A model's fashion aesthetic has gained increasing significance with the rise of street style photographers and blogs. How would you describe your personal style and which designer best encapsulate your street style?
BA: My personal style is pretty simple, it's about comfort and my mood at the time, so it depends very much on how I'm feeling right in that moment. I'd say the three designers that best capture my street style are Dr Martens, Givenchy, and Alexander Wang.

IMA: Models are reclaiming their place on magazine covers and in campaigns. Do you believe that the supermodel phenomenon of the early 90s can be rekindled and what would it take for this to occur?
BA: I think the era of the supermodel in the 90s will always be the ultimate because that was the blueprint. As time has gone on the definition of the supermodel has been altered and will continue to do so with the times. I think there's going to be a new era of supermodel in the 21st century that can be as phenomenal as that of the 90s but with a different dimension and interpretation to it.

IMA: What are the most valuable life lessons that you have acquired as a result of your industry exposure?
BA: I've learnt that it's not about what you know but who you know and to never disregard the underdog. That assistant/intern could well be the biggest stylist or casting director in the world next year.

IMA: What makes you "Inoubliable" (Unforgettable)?
BA: What makes me "Inoubliable" is my presence and aura. I go where the wind takes me which means I need to always be open and willing to whatever life throws at me and as a result of this I stay stress-free and mysterious ;-)

French Numéro seeks divine inspiration for "Supremes", an editorial showcasing a magnificent multi-ethnic cast of newcomers. Among the sizzling new faces captured by photographer Sebastian Kim are Riley Montana, Senait Gidey, Maria Borges, Grace Mahary, Sherita Dehon, Jessica Strother, and Josilyn Williams. The A List cast of models turn it on for the portfolio of black and white portraits wearing elegant designs by Givenchy, Céline, Alexander McQueen, Saint Laurent, Lanvin, and Calvin Klein. What this editorial illustrates more than anything is the extent of the depth of field of ethnic modelling talent unearthed by the Spring/Summer 2014 collections. Canadian-raised models Grace Mahary and Senait Gidey hail respectively from Eritrea and Ethiopia, were two of the standout black models in high rotation on Spring/Summer 2014 runways. The compelling Sherita Dehon's mixed African-American and Filipino heritage caught the eye of designer Riccardo Tisci landing her a coveted spot in his Spring/Summer 2014 Givenchy line-up. African-Americans Josilyn Williams and Jessica Strother have yet to make their mark on the international runway circuit but show stunning high fashion potential in a dramatic feathered Louis Vuitton head dress and ensembles from Alexander McQueen's warrior goddess inspired collection. Angolan top model Maria Borges stars in Givenchy's current Spring/Summer 2014 campaign lensed by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott alongside newcomer Riley Montana. Represented by New York Model Management, Detroit native Riley Montana has emerged as one of the standout newcomers of the current Fall/Winter 2014 collections walking for Oscar de la Renta, Rodarte, Anna Sui, DKNY, Preen, Bottega Veneta, and Fausto Puglisi. With editorial appearances for Love, i-D, W Magazine, and Paris Vogue added to her burgeoning resumé, Riley Montana looks set to be the breakout star of the Fall/Winter 2014 season.

Art Imitates Life - Suvi Koponen & Joan Smalls

Picking up on Prada's muralist themed Spring/Summer 2014 show, American Vogue takes to the graffitied New York City streets for an editorial bearing the title "Sports Psychology" in its March 2014 issue. Top models Suvi Koponen and Joan Smalls pose for photographer Craig McDean with stunning street murals as their backdrop while decked out in bold patterned athletic inspired designs from the Spring/Summer 2014 collections of Prada, Céline, Givenchy, and Versace styled by Camilla Nickerson. The contrasting beauty of Koponen and Smalls is given a modern spin courtesy of bobbed flyaway wigs, bold accented brows, and neon eye make-up courtesy of Anthony Turner and Peter Philips. Following a singular November 2007 American Vogue editorial appearance lensed by Raymond Meier, Finnish veteran Koponen has come full circle returning to favour with multiple editorial appearances in the fashion bible's January and March 2014 issues. American Vogue continues to show allegiance to Puerto Rican supernova Joan Smalls, in spite of the fashion industry's revolving doors policy towards ethnic models. Smalls appears alongside industry veteran Jourdan Dunn and newcomers Imaan Hammam, Grace Mahary, Cindy Bruna, Fei Fei Sun, and Xiao Wen Ju in the magazine's current edition. Kudos to American Vogue's new booking editor Helena Suric, a former DNA model manager, for taking a united stance in showcasing the stunning depth of field of today's ethnic modelling talent.

Future Perfect - Binx Walton

Tennessee native Binx Walton was one of the most exciting new modelling prospects to emerge during the Spring/Summer 2014 show season. Seventeen year old Binx's megawatt personality, versatile beauty, and totally rad androgynous appeal shone brightly throughout Spring/Summer 2014 runway appearances at Prada, Céline, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, and Alexander McQueen. Binx continues to weave a magical spell over runway proceedings at the current Fall/Winter 2014 collections logging runway mileage at Proenza Schouler, Prabal Gurung, J.W Anderson, Giles, Fendi, Sportmax, Bottega Veneta, and Roberto Cavalli. Discovered by Macs Amax agency owner Cherylann Stephens, Binx's career took off following major image overhaul which saw the former performing arts student shedding her shoulder length cascading curls in lieu of a nape grazing buzz cut replete with a rocker billy coif. With New York representation by Next Model Management, Binx debuted during the Fall/Winter 2013 season at Marc Jacobs, Giles, and later as a Versace exclusive in Milan. Binx's gnarly cool girl vibes (she's an avid skateboarder and hip hop dance enthusiast) combined with a spectacular 180 cm runway perfect silhouette, and a compelling impossible to pigeonhole beauty have made her one of the most sought after and memorable newcomers of the Spring/Summer 2014 season. Editorial bookings for Love, i-D, Another Magazine, New York Times T Magazine, and Céline's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign are just a mere hint of things to come. More importantly, watch for Binx to make the full transition from modelling's newest kid on the block to total runway knockout throughout 2014.

Exclusive Interview - Maartje Verhoef

$

Maartje Verhoef is unequivocally a modelling superstar in the making. Pretty lofty words to describe the sixteen year old high schooler who has been modelling part-time since being discovered only three years ago by her mother agency Micha Models. Verhoef's modelling track record thus far speaks volumes with a riveting Spring/Summer 2013 debut opening for Prada, blue chip campaigns for Valentino, Prada, and Céline shot respectively by Steven Meisel, Craig McDean, and Juergen Teller, lens time with Patrick Demarchelier for Interview Magazine, and a growing model as muse status holding opening or closing honours at Bottega Veneta, Jil Sander, Céline, and Paco Rabane. Indeed Verhoef's rapid ascent through modelling's elite ranks coincides with the timely arrival of fellow teen compatriots Imaan Hammam and Julia Bergshoeff, forming what could aptly be described as the Dutch Trifecta. All three models have left the fashion industry hankering, appearing selectively at Fashion Week via a slew of strategically placed runway bookings, all the while completing their high school education.

Verhoef's graceful lithe 179 cm frame, prominent forehead, perfectly arched brows, and petulant pout have sent casting directors and designers into a tailspin as they scramble to secure the Dutch beauty in their show line-ups. Verhoef's elusive runway quality has translated into pure campaign gold without running the risk of overexposure that has halted many a promising new face dead in their tracks in the ever fickle world of fashion. With the final leg of the Fall/Winter 2014 collections underway in Paris, Verhoef has already galvanised industry attention via an immaculate Milan show list including Jil Sander, Emilio Pucci, Alberta Ferretti, and Fendi. With her pristine peaches and cream complexion, piercing runway stare, and stunning versatility, Verhoef will surely have Paris burning in the week ahead. Verhoef chatted exclusively with IMA in the lead up to the Fall/Winter 2014 season about the chance photo shoot which led to her discovery, the challenges of balancing school with plum modelling assignments, and the undeniable perks of show season.

Inoubliable Model Army (IMA): Hi Maartje, thank you for taking time to chat with IMA. Congratulations on a sensational Spring/Summer 2014 show season and on making it onto IMA's Top 10 Newcomers List. How would you describe your overall experience at the Spring/Summer 2014 collections and are you looking forward to the Fall/Winter 2014 shows?
Maartje Verhoef (MV): I was really happy that I had some days off from school to participate in Fashion Week. I didn't expect to walk in so many shows, I felt very honoured. It was also my first time doing the shows in Paris (as in the past I was not allowed to miss too many days of school). I'm really looking forward to the Fall/Winter 2014 collections. I hope I can walk in as many shows again. I just had my school exams so I'm happy I will be able to take off some days from school. When I do Fashion Week it motivates me to work even harder at school, it gives me so much energy!

IMA: As a relatively new face to modelling, would you mind sharing your backstory with IMA's audience?
MV: I'm 16 years old and come from the South of Holland. I started modelling 3 years ago, and over the past year, after my Prada debut everything has been moving faster. I was discovered by a photographer (he worked at my dad's company). He was doing a shoot and one of the models was ill so he asked me to replace her, and he sent the pictures to my mother agency Micha Models. That is how my modelling career started. Before that I had never actually thought of being a model!

IMA: Your international catwalk career kicked off with an exclusive opening slot for Prada at the Spring/Summer 2013 collections! How did you handle the pressure of being first out onto the runway and the intense media attention that followed?
MV: Everything was completely new for me. I hadn't done a show before so I didn't know how everything worked. When I had my Prada casting and Ashley Brokaw booked me as an exclusive I didn't realise the full significance of what had happened. That day my mother agent from Holland came to Milan (because it was my first show) to be there with me. Just a few minutes before the show, she told me that I had to open the show. I didn't have time to think about it and before I realised I was on the catwalk. That was really a special moment for me.

IMA: Your mother agency Micha Models has gradually introduced you to the modelling world via a selective roster of blue chip clients and jobs with the key focus on allowing you to complete your high school education. What kind of support has Micha and your agents provided you to enable you to juggle your modelling career with your education?
MV: Micha always makes a careful selection from the requests. If there is an important job I should do she asks me if it is possible to fit it in with school. My school allows me ten days off, they are flexible and helpful. And if it is not possible to do a job, Micha (and the other agents) are not pushing me.

IMA: At the recent Spring/Summer 2014 collections you opened for Bottega Veneta, Jil Sander, Paco Rabane, and closed for Céline, it addition to appearances at J.W Anderson, Marni, Emilio Pucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Balenciaga, Christian Dior, and Viktor & Rolf to name but a few! Was the season a bit of a blur or are there any special moments which standout as personal highlights for you?
MV: I really enjoyed closing a show for the first time. But every show is special, it's nice to see how everyone is working so hard to make the show a success. The Viktor & Rolf show was especially memorable because there were a lot of Dutch people working there (the designers, dressers, and a lot of Dutch girls).

IMA: Aside from the obvious choices of travelling and meeting new people, what do you enjoy and appreciate most about modelling?
MV: No one day is the same, and sometimes we get free stuff from the shows which is really nice to have. This season I got a Marni bag, a Céline bag, and Balenciaga dresses! And it is also amazing to walk in such beautiful clothes.

IMA: In 2013, you posed for Steven Meisel and Patrick Demarchelier for the Prada Spring/Summer 2013 campaign and for Interview Magazine's feature on "The New Breed" of Supermodels. Was it an intimidating experience to pose for two of the most influential industry figures?
MV: When I worked for the first time with Steven Meisel I was a bit nervous as it was my first campaign and my first time working with such a good photographer. But the shoot was so relaxed. The shoot with Patrick Demarchelier was a nice shoot and Mr Demarchelier was really friendly.

IMA: Which also brings us to your recent Spring/Summer 2014 campaign for Valentino lensed by Craig McDean. The Valentino shoot featured a stunning line-up of new modelling talent including Ine Neefs, Malaika Firth, Auguste Abeliunaite, Esther Heesch, and yourself shot on location amongst a stunning backdrop of rocky boulders. Where was the shoot set, how did you get into character for the shoot, and was it fun sharing in the excitement with the other models in such a magnificent location?
MV: The location was beautiful and really special. It was in the desert in Los Angeles. We had to drive to the desert on each of the shoot days, it was 2 hours driving. When we were in the desert we were taken to the top of the desert in jeep buggies, that was a lot of fun. When we arrived at our the shoot location we had to stand on rocks, it was warm but the crew on the shoot protected us well. I knew a few of the girls from before so it was great to see them again. The atmosphere with all of the girls was really nice and pleasant.

IMA: It's unusual for a sixteen year old to have access to the world's most exclusive high fashion designs! Has your sense of style changed much as a result of your fashion industry exposure, and which three designers are you most inspired by at the moment?
MV: Yes my style has changed since working in the fashion industry. I try to wear more fashion pieces. I'm the most inspired by Valentino, Prada, and Dolce & Gabbana.

IMA: Given that you are still in school, which other professions interest you as an alternate career to modelling?
MV: Actually I don't know what to do after or as an alternate career, I'm thinking of pursuing university studies but I don't know which one yet.

IMA: Dutch girls continue to dominate the modelling landscape with many of Micha Model's girls achieving international success. Have you had the opportunity to meet many Dutch girls so far during Fashion Week?
MV: Yes I met a lot of Dutch models at Fashion Week and during shoots. There are also Belgian girls who I enjoy working with. But I haven't formed really close friendships yet because I haven't walked in so many shows. Most of the time during the show season I'm with my mother in an apartment and I don't have so much time to spend with the girls because I need to return to Holland as soon as possible to go back to school. But it is always nice working with Dutch girls ;-)

IMA: What have you found most surprising about the fashion industry and what have been the most valuable life lessons that you have acquired so far from your experiences?
MV: The fashion industry taught me how to take care of myself. Since I've been working and travelling, I'm much more grown up.

IMA: Beauty is very much in the eye of the Beholder... After having seen so many beautiful girls during your travels and at the shows, what is you personal take on a modern day Beauty?
MV: I think a modern Beauty is someone who has some special qualities in their face.

IMA: What makes you "Inoubliable" (Unforgettable)?
MV: Haha! It is hard to say something like that (about yourself) but I think that most people remember me because of my eyebrows! Besides that I always try to be positive and to bring that feeling to the set!

Germany's Alisa Ahmann certainly made a powerful statement opening exclusively for Calvin Klein at the Fall/Winter 2014 collections with her sensual womanly presence. Aged 19 years and standing at an imposing 179 cm, Ahmann's striking looks are reminiscent of Danish late 90's top model Rie Rasmussen and the iconic German Super Veruschka. Represented by Model Management in Hamburg, Elite Model Management in Paris, and newly signed to the Society Management in New York, Ahmann has modelled extensively in Australia for local fashion labels Trelise Cooper and Country Road. Ahmann's expressive grey/blue eyes, flawless complexion, and voluminous lips have already graced the cover of German publication Quest and seem destined to attract interest from cosmetics companies. With the Paris Fall/Winter 2014 collections currently underway you can expect Ahmann to surface exclusively on the runways with the most influence, proving that a quality versus quantity approach prevails.

Each model's path to success is unique and paved by a combination of prescient timing, incredible DNA, persistence, and sound management. For twenty-four year old Ukrainian Iana Godnia, years of industry experience and multiple changes of management have brought her to her current standing amongst modelling's elite. Since being discovered in 2009 when she was introduced by a former model to her mother agency Faces in Kiev, Godnia has earned her stripes gaining invaluable industry and life experience while growing into her looks. When IMA visited Major Model Management's headquarters in the lead up to New York Fashion Week, Senior Women's Manager Domonick Hannosh hinted at major interest from key fashion houses in the 177 cm raven-haired beauty. Fast-forward three weeks and Godnia has blazed a trail through blue chip appearances at Calvin Klein as an exclusive, Burberry Prorsum, Christopher Kane, Simone Rocha, Antonio Berardi, Bottega Veneta, Aquilano Rimondi, Dolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander, and Cédric Charlier. Twenty-three year old Leila Ndabirabe (Nda) was one of the most captivating faces that IMA encountered at Oscar de la Renta's Fall/Winter 2014 castings. Hailing from Burundi and raised in Belgium, Ndabirabe was impossible to miss throughout the New York collections championed by casting director Russell Marsh who featured her as a semi-exclusive at Victoria Beckham and at Tommy Hilfiger. Blessed with a magnificent 180 cm silhouette, hypnotic brown eyes, and a perfectly ovular face shape, Ndabirabe charmed all in her midst with her regal runway composure. Represented by New York Model Management, Ndabirabe carved up New York's runways with appearances at Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Oscar de la Renta, Tory Burch, Hugo Boss, Marchesa, and Ohne Titel. Opting to skip the London collections, Ndabirabe's picked up speed in Milan at Versace, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Sportmax, Emilio Pucci, Bottega Veneta, and Marni, ensuring that the issue of ethnic diversity remained omnipresent in the minds of casting directors, designers, and show attendees. Ndabirabe's combination of disarming good looks, good old fashioned savour-faire, and intelligence - she speaks six languages fluently and is a law student at the University of Libres in Brussels, will serve her well as she navigates the final leg of the Fall/Winter 2014 collections in Paris.

Sixteen year old Cologne native Charlene Högger began her modelling career a little over a year ago after being scouted via Facebook by her Dusseldorf-based mother agency No Toys Model Management. Following a year of careful development and placement, Högger has emerged like a bolt out of the blue as a major contender in the newcomer stakes at the Milan Fall/Winter 2014 collections. At 181 cm in height with gazelle-like proportions, pristine features, startling baby blues, and an adorable smattering of freckles, Högger commanded industry attention as she glided down the runway at Prada, Bottega Veneta, Alberta Ferretti, Dolce & Gabbana, Emilio Pucci, Fendi, and Tod's. Högger was the very embodiment of ultra glam chic displaying a serene maturity and confidence on the runway way beyond her teen years. With representation by Elite Model Management in Paris and The Society Management in New York, Högger heads into the Paris Fall/Winter 2014 collections as one of the most buzzed about and sought after newcomers of the season.

No Top 10 Newcomers List for the Fall/Winter 2014 season would be complete without the inclusion of Dutch ingenue Imaan Hammam. With Hammam there are no gimmicks, instead her appeal relies on the kind of drop dead gorgeousness that lingers long after the final turn on the runway. Scouted at the age of fourteen by Code Management, Hammam's modelling trajectory has been guided with pinpoint precision and patience via key editorial bookings for local publications including Vogue and Glamour, and on the runway at Amsterdam Fashion Week. Fast-forward to the Spring/Summer 2014 collections and Hammam's stunning debut opening exclusively for Givenchy has the seventeen year old singled out as the most hotly contested newcomer leading into the current Fall/Winter 2014 season. Model-maker Steven Meisel recently photographed Hammam for Vogue Italia, and American Vogue has championed the Egyptian/Moroccan beauty in five editorials this year alone. Casting director Ashley Brokaw appears to be equally enamoured, having selected Hammam to tread the runway at Narciso Rodriguez, Hugo Boss, Proenza Schouler, and Prada. Hammam's precise Milan show list which includes appearances Versace, Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli, Fendi, and Prada, suggests a slow burn heading into the Paris collections.

DNA Model Management's Waleska Gorczevski has experienced a meteoric rise since she was discovered via the Kee Mod Star Model Search in 2012. The sixteen year old Brasilian took out the winning title and was swiftly signed by the Sao Paolo-based agency. In the short space of a year, Gorczevski has graced the pages of Brasilian Vogue and was the most requested model at the Sao Paolo Fall/Winter 2014 collections amassing a total of nineteen show bookings. Gorczevski's international runway debut as a Christian Dior exclusive at the Spring 2014 Haute Couture shows placed the 179 cm tall newcomer on high alert in the lead up to the current Fall/Winter 2014 season. With her wistful green eyes, impeccable bone structure, and hard to place looks - a result of her mixed Polish and Portuguese heritage, it's no wonder Gorczevski has proven to be a hit with casting directors and designers from the get go. Gorczevski swept the pool at the New York collections, setting a blistering pace with bookings at Victoria Beckham, Tommy Hilfiger, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, Hugo Boss, and Calvin Klein. The love for Gorczevski crossed the Atlantic with a slew of London bookings for every top tier show imaginable from J.W Anderson, to Christopher Kane, and Giles. The big guns proved to be no match for Gorczevski in Milan with Alberta Ferretti, Prada, Fendi, Sportmax, Roberto Cavalli, and Jil Sander submitting to her burgeoning show list. Appearing in a total of thirty five shows across the three fashion capitals, Gorczevski left all in her wake holding opening/closing honours at seven shows.
